Why was Vice President Joe Biden sitting in at the Beer Summit? Because he had clean hands? Because he was neutral? Then it occurred to me: because he is white is the answer. The carefully orchestrated Beer Summit, with hosts in shirt sleeves while the guests wore suits, staged at an outdoor picnic table at the White House, required racial balance. Otherwise the white police sergeant would appear outflanked by the two blacks, Obama and Gates.
That's how the Left thinks. (Or is it how the Left think?)
