Lefties like to put words in the mouths of others and then respond to what had never been said in the first place. A case in point is Dday's rebuke of Liz Cheney for using the "ticking time bomb" scenario in a debate on torture. But in the YouTube clip Cheney speaks of an "imminent" attack, not a ticking time bomb.
So what did she mean by an imminent attack (or eminent)? Could it mean a big one is coming next week? Next month? In six months?
Consider the much ballyhooed presidential daily briefing titled "Bin Laden determined to strike in US." Based on that briefing, is there anyone prepared to say that--at that point in time--the subsequent attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were not imminent? That briefing was five weeks before 9/11.
